Medact ("we", "our", or "us") is a medication and supplement safety application. We take your privacy seriously, especially because the information you share with us relates to your health. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

We collect information you provide directly when using Medact:

• Account information — your email address and display name when you create an account
• Medication and supplement data — names, dosages, frequencies, and schedules you enter
• Dose tracking data — records of doses taken or missed
• Emergency card information — emergency contacts, drug allergies, and blood type if you choose to add them
• Health conditions — any conditions you optionally add to your profile
• Family profile data — medication information for family members you add (Pro plan)
• Device information — device type and operating system version for technical support purposes

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Medact service, including medication tracking, interaction checking, and reminders
• Send medication reminders and refill alerts via push notifications
• Generate your weekly safety reports and AI-powered analyses
• Improve the accuracy and performance of our AI features
• Send transactional emails such as account confirmation and password resets
• Process subscription payments and manage your account

We do not use your health data for advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We use HTTPS for all data transmissions. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated users only, enforced by Row Level Security policies in our database.

While we implement strong security measures, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

5. Third-Party Services

Medact uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (Privacy Policy)
• Anthropic — powers our AI Chat and interaction analysis features (Privacy Policy)
• RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases and entitlements (Privacy Policy)
• Google — optional sign-in via Google OAuth (Privacy Policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (Privacy Policy)
• RxNorm / Health Canada DPD — public medication databases used for drug information

6. Health Data Disclaimer

Medact is not a medical device and is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All information provided by Medact is for general informational purposes only. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before making any changes to your medication routine.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile section of the app. Upon account deletion, your personal data, medication history, and all associated records are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Medact is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• The right to access your personal data
• The right to correct inaccurate data
• The right to delete your data
• The right to export your data
• The right to opt out of certain data processing
